Bianca Pînzariu has always been curious about the science behind everything around us, but also enjoys working with people, being part of the community, organizing projects and building on ideas. With a view to combining these interests, she enrolled for a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. While a student she discovered a passion for public health and an interest in healthcare systems, and the desire to find ways for all patients who needed help to receive it.
As an active member of local and national student organizations she was involved in coordinating public health campaigns to encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles, and participated in decision-making groups where she learnt to analyse a situation from as many points of view as possible in order to choose the best solution.
Bianca worked in scientific publishing as an Assistant Editor for pharmaceutical journals before embracing an opportunity to put her theoretical knowledge into action in the real world.
She says, “I have learnt how just a small act of care and kindness can truly help someone or change a path, and I believe that this is the exact reason that led me to Angels team: knowing that I could work together with people who aim for the same thing – improving the healthcare for patients.
“Romania has already seen a great improvement in the care for stroke patients and I am honoured to have this opportunity to continue this effort and achieve even greater results for patients.”
