NIHSS online training course

The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is widely used as a clinical assessment tool to measure neurological function and deficits in stroke patients, determine appropriate treatment, and predict patient outcome.

This online learning course standardizes how the examination is performed and scored. It is designed as a refresher course for those who have completed their NIHSS certification.

The course consists of three modules:

• Module 1: Use the NIH Stroke Scale to assess the stroke patient (Moderator: Dr. Anna Ramos, Barcelona).
• Module 2: Continue with an in-depth learning module to deepen your understanding and practical use of the NIH Stroke Scale.
• Module 3: Assess the patient in the second NIHSS evaluation video. This will show you how much your accuracy has improved (Moderator: Dr. Anna Ramos, Barcelona).
